My passion for helping people preserve the love and beauty of their pets is my purpose as an artist. I feel that my paintings can have a healing impact on the inevitable process of moving through grieving the event of saying goodbye to our pets when they transition from the physical world as we know it. Because we are an analytical species we have actually done scientific studies on this subject as noted in this article on the Washington Post. What has been discovered is that the effect on our psychology as humans having to go through such a transition is the same emotions as having to say good bye when a person we love transitions from the physical world. In a nut shell, it is intense, the emotion that is. Within my own experience of saying good bye to my beloved black lab Clinton I discovered my purpose as a painter.
For the past several years I have developed a love and a true passion for helping people. I consider what I do a service to them and it is always an honor to be asked to help them with their very own, one of a kind, pet painting.

Honey is a sweet treat, but if you haven't heard honey bees are in crisis, which makes this a bittersweet situation! Honey bees pollinate about 80% of the crops that humans depend on for a third of our diet. the value of the bee-pollinated crops in the US is about $15 BILION annually, nearly 100 times the value of all the honey produced. If that doesn't get your attention then check out more from our own White House and the current National Strategy for Pollinators
As an artist and a gardener I have decided to take action through the use of the language of art. My passion is oil painting. Recently inspired by the book The Bees by Laline Paull I decided to create a blank note card based on a painting I did of the maine character Flora. I am pledging to donate 100% of my profits from these cards to support honey bee and sustainable pollination research. My Flora note cards will be available for purchase directly through me at shows that I attend. To find out where my next shows will be click the Events and Contests page here on my website. They are also available through my website storefront, click here to view Flora Note Cards
